I recently had a new roof installed on my house by 1st Choice Roofing. From the beginning to the end it was a great experience. Michael Gaitan was the project manager. He was polite, confident and explained the entire process. On installation day the crew was fantastic. During that day I was provided with several photos from a drone showing the progress. Mr. Gaitan noticed a slight dip in the new roof at the garage. He had the crew remove the shingles and make the area perfect. That's great customer service and attention to detail.

1st Choice Roofing and Contsruction was Highly recommended to us by a friend of my wife's.David came out to do an inspection of our roof he flew his drone and took alot of pictures you could see that we had severe hail damage.David came out to answer any questions that the insurance adjuster might have when they did the inspection.The insurance company approved the roof to be replaced.David ordered the material to de delivered and the roof was scheduled to be replaced.I also had some dealing with Rene he was great to deal with also.Everybody at 1st choice roofing and Construction was very professional from the sales people to the actual roofing installers.Roof Looks Great I Highly Recommend 1st Choice Roofing and Construction.Thank you Richard Williams

Chris Rochester coordinated and executed the required services in a timely manner, and all the teams that worked on restoring the house did good work and did everything to keep the premises clean and clean up all refuse. Found 1st choice roofing and hired to fix sections of my roof less than a year ago (June 2024). In addition to the repair cost, they charged $700 for it being a 3 story home and another $600 for the pitch angle. At the time when the repair was being done, the speed at which they were working was a little concerning. This was due to the fact that I was sold on replacing all vents on the roof as well but witness the technicians leave without doing so. They came back soon after me contacting the project manager that I only only saw them go up with a bundle of shingles before and proceeded to complete the vent replacements. Once they completed the repairs, I contacted the project manager again and asked for drone footage of the repairs so I could compare them to the initial inspection photos. He then got offensive stating that his technicians were risking their lives in order to repair my roof and kept saying they stand by their workmanship and provide a 1 year warranty. I started to suspect the project manager did not fully explain to the technicians on what to repair and only repaired the obvious damage and not the improperly installed shingles the project manager sold me on to repair. Fast forward to today (April 2025), sections of my roof have shingles blowing off again which are photographed in the initial inspection last year. I contacted 1st choice to start a warranty claim and was soon told they can warranty shingles they replaced but the ones that were missed a few feet away is considered new damage and had to be treated at such. I told them ok, please get me an estimate on the repair and we can proceed with the warrantied areas. After receiving the estimate, they again charged the 3 story fee and pitch angle fee even though they will be going up to repair the warrantied areas anyways because it is "to be treated as new damage" while also stating on the estimate that they no longer can warranty any repairs because of the build material. I would not have found out my roof was damaged if I didn't switch insurance company and they send an inspector out to look at my roof. Missed agreed upon repairs and damaged repairs they are hesitant to fix. If they are currently working on your home, make sure you have footage of the completed agreed repairs after. If you're considering, make sure you have everything documented to cover yourself cause they are for sure covering themselves.

This is my second time working with 1st Choice Roofing and Construction, and once again, I am extremely satisfied with their service. Michael has been a tremendous help throughout the process. My first experience was about nine years ago in Spring. After the Tax Day Storm, we had a leak from the pipe on our roof. 1st Choice Roofing was in our neighborhood providing free maintenance to a neighbor, and they kindly offered to inspect our roof as well. They quickly fixed the issue at no charge, and we tipped the two technicians $20 each for their help. We later replaced our entire roof with them, and the experience was smooth, pleasant, and the quality of the work was excellent. This time around, the experience was a bit more challenging. My original project manager became ill and had to step away, which created some disruption in the process. However, Michael stepped in as my new project manager and expertly guided the project to completion. While the transition between project managers caused some delays in deal continuity and paperwork, I understand that illness and uncertainty can happen. Despite these bumps, Michael’s professionalism and patience made all the difference, and we're thrilled with both the process and the end result. We are very happy with our new roof, and I’m grateful for the team's hard work. I’m giving 5 stars because, in the end, the service was great, the roof looks fantastic, and Michael's efforts truly made the experience worthwhile.

Super pleased with 1st Choice Roofing & Construction! They provided excellent service and quickly, especially considering we were still being impacted by hurricane Beryl. They knew exactly how to deal with our insurance company and reassured us what would be paid for. They were friendly, professional and there was always someone on site over seeing the crew.
